Do subscription businesses with recurring billing actually sell for more?

 


The phone company rep, cable guy and gym owner walk into a bar….

Who doesn’t like to make one sale and get paid over and over again?

As a young man, I even considered a career in insurance because of two magical words- recurring revenues.

Your insurance agent gets paid every year for the insurance policy you bought a long time ago.

Sweet for them!

But, do businesses that feature recurring revenues sell for more money than those who don’t?

We need to examine the customer journey and ask ourselves- Is the sale really only made once?

Recurring revenue may also mean recurring selling.
