On Mastermind Groups & SMART goals

My mastermind group is an important part of my decision making process and they hold me accountable whenever I lose focus of where I want to take my business and life.

A great article appeared the other day in Forbes magazine (see below) that highlights the purpose and advantages of being in a mastermind group.

My group has been going for about 5 years and the progress we've been able to help each other achieve is amazing.  I've got my one-year and 90 day goals all sorted for the year and I know they're SMART goals because my mastermind team has helped me by challenging every aspect of SMART..

  • Specific
  • Measurable
  • Achievable
  • Relevant
  • Time Bound

By making sure your goals are SMART, you can ensure a greater degree of success and its easier for your mastermind friends to hold you accountable and make you feel really bad when you don't put in the effort to achieve.  And that's what some of us need right?  Someone to kick our butt and make us hustle.

They lean on each other, give advice, share connections and do business with each other when appropriate. It’s very much peer-to-peer mentoring and if you are lucky enough to get invited to one, you will most likely see a marked change in yourself and your business.
