I am constantly reminded of this quote whenever the topic of politics comes up with friends, or I'm talking about money with my ex-wife.

Great book about controlling memes in your head
I read this book years ago by Randy Gage and it had a profound effect on me.
Why you're dumb, sick and broke and how to get Smart, Healthy and Rich!
I decided to re-read it again over the weekend and was reminded of what a great read it is.
Gage teaches how we are all products of programming called memes. These are ideas that shape who we are. The problem is, our heads are filled with memes that work against our own prosperity.
He also talks about how you need to lead a life congruent with your principles or you will be unhappy.
I strongly recommend it.

[VIDEO] Van Lease Deal Calculation Demo
In this video I use the BAII Plus calculator to demonstrate how to figure out rates of return and payments on a sample van lease.
This example is from pages 70-72 of Invest Local.
To learn more about how to figure this stuff out and how to boost returns via deal structure and leverage, don't forget to buy my book.

[VIDEO STORY] Bye Bye Birdie
In this video I tell the story of the difficulty in finding a buyer for a highly specialized niche retail store; one that sells bird-watching items.
I relate how small business buyers are looking for both an investment and a job and help shed some light on how you should imagine an exit plan before you start a business.
Enjoy.

[VIDEO] Entrepreneurs Vs. Investors
In this video I discuss the difference in mindset between entrepreneurs and investors. These two mentalities often clashed during my business brokerage career.
I talk about the differences between a business owner working towards a dream and a potential business buyer who wants to analyze this business and determine its worth based on cash flow.
Enjoy the video and I welcome your feedback.
